Frequently Asked Questions
Your college coach submits you to summer teams through the platform. You can also browse open roster spots on the Browse Openings page and let your coach know which teams interest you. Once a team approves you, a deal room opens where details like housing and dates are finalized. If you are a player with your own account, you can track the status of your submissions from your player dashboard.
First, make sure you have a coach account and have added the player to your roster. Then browse open roster needs on the Browse Openings page, find a position that fits, and click "Submit Player." Fill in the player details, stats, and an optional note about fit, then submit. You can track the status of all your submissions from your coach dashboard.
From your team dashboard, click "Post Roster Need" and fill in the position, dates, housing details, and any compensation info. Once posted, your opening will appear on the public browse page and college coaches can submit players directly to it. You can edit or close the posting at any time from your dashboard.
A deal room is a private space that opens after a team approves a player submission. It allows the coach and team admin to message each other, share files (like housing agreements or travel logistics), and finalize the placement details. Both sides can update the deal status until the placement is confirmed.
Summer Ball Placer is free for all summer teams -- there is no cost to post roster needs, receive player submissions, or use deal rooms. College programs pay a $300/year subscription to submit players and track placements. Players pay a $150/year subscription to track submissions, apply directly to teams, and access deal rooms.
Log in and go to your dashboard. For coaches, your profile information is available in the account/settings area. For teams, look for the "Team Profile" section on your team dashboard where you can update team name, league, location, and other details. Changes are saved automatically or with a Save button depending on the section.
You can change your password from any dashboard page. Look for the "Change Password" option in your navigation menu or settings area. You will need to enter your current password for confirmation, then set a new password (minimum 8 characters). If you are logged in, you can also change your password now.
Go to your coach dashboard and find the submission you want to withdraw. If the submission is still in "Pending" status, you can withdraw it directly. If the submission has already been approved and a deal room is open, you should communicate with the team through the deal room before withdrawing. Contact support if you need additional help with a withdrawal.
